Lawn
mower safety.
Before attempting to fit blades or carry out other maintenance,
always disconnect the high tension lead from the spark plug
and wedge the wire terminal out of the way between the cylinder
head fins. This will prevent accidental starting.
When changing blades, follow the directions supplied with the blades,
or check with your retailer. Never fit only one blade. Always replace
the complete set or you will upset the balance of the blade holder
assembly, causing vibration and excess engine wear.
Never
allow children to operate the mower.
Make sure the lawn is raked clean of stones and debris, which could
be thrown up by the blades. If the blade strikes any solid object,
switch mower off and disconnect the spark plug as already described,
then check the blades for damage.
Start the engine carefully and keep your feet clear when starting
and operating the mower Never pull the mower towards you when mowing.
Stop the motor when crossing paths or driveways.
Do not adjust the height of the blades while the motor is running.
Never use a plug-in mower on wet grass.
